everyone.

Arthur continued.

“You should hate me.”

“I do.”

“But Lauren will erase your daughter to become part of your family.”

Daniel's jaw tightened.

“She is already part of yours.”

Arthur said nothing.

Daniel ended the call.

Ruiz looked at him.

“He admitted ordering Anna’s death.”

“Yes.”

“Recorded.”

“Yes.”

Arthur had just given them something prosecutors had lacked.

But Daniel felt no victory.

Richard held the trust documents.

“If Lauren has genetic material and files a claim—”

“Can she win?”

“Maybe not.”

“That wasn't my question.”

Richard answered honestly.

“She can create delay.”

Enough delay to prevent Sophie’s land trust from activating cleanly.

Enough uncertainty to force courts into emergency control arrangements.

Enough chaos for Brightwater and Vale-linked entities to attack Bellmont’s properties.

Daniel looked at the St. Matthew’s files.

Lauren had built multiple plans.

Kidnap Sophie.

Incapacitate her.

Challenge her legitimacy.

Insert herself.

Arthur had built a conspiracy.

Lauren had turned it into a succession war.

Then Ruiz received a message.

Her expression changed.

“What?”

She showed Daniel.

A legal filing had just been submitted under seal in state probate court.

Emergency Petition Regarding Mercer Descendant Trust.

Filed by:

Lauren Margaret Bennett.

Claimed relationship:

Biological daughter of Harold Mercer.

Daniel stared.

She had already begun.

And attached to the petition was a laboratory report stating a 99.8 percent probability that Lauren Bennett was Harold Mercer’s biological child.

Whether true or forged, the challenge was now officially alive.

For the first time, Lauren was no longer hiding inside Arthur’s network.

She had stepped into Daniel’s family.

Click here to continue reading: PART 21: Lauren’s Claim Reaches Probate Court Before Daniel Can
