behind a chain-link fence at the edge of an industrial park, its faded call letters still visible above the entrance.

Rain silvered the empty parking lot.

Police vehicles stopped two blocks away.

Nobody wanted to rush the building while June was inside.

News helicopters circled high enough not to interfere with the tactical teams, but their cameras remained pointed at the roof.

For once, secrecy was impossible.

I wanted that.

I hated needing it.

Hale caught my arm before I crossed the command long enough to understand argument would only waste time.

Behind him, Caroline coordinated with local command while deliberately excluding Arcwell from every operational channel.

Harold sat handcuffed inside a police vehicle.

He had surrendered the moment Ashford Station became public.

I still did not know whether that was strategy or exhaustion.

Probably both.

Lillian stood beside another vehicle, watching the studio.

When I approached her, she said, “Elias will use June to make you tactical technician handed Hale a floor plan.

The building had two studio stages, editing rooms, a control booth, storage, loading docks, and an underground cable corridor.

Power
