her husband told security she was ill and confused from medication administered by a visiting physician.

Another male visitor assisted in returning her to the room.

No ambulance was called because the husband declined emergency services and stated a doctor was already present.

The responding security officer documented concern.

One sentence had been underlined digitally before the file was restricted.

Guest repeatedly stated: “Don’t let him sign for me.”

I read it once.

Then again.

My hands went had contacted management the next morning because he remained concerned.

Management attempted to follow up with our room.

We had already checked out.

I remembered leaving early.

David had said I needed rest at home.

Another attachment showed that someone from Mercer Development contacted the hotel two days later requesting confidentiality because the incident involved “sensitive executive health information.”

The request came from Melissa Crane.

My stomach twisted.

“She knew.”

Jessica nodded.

Marcus was already taking photographs.

I looked at Evan.

“Do you still employ the security officer?”

He checked.

“No.”

“Can you find him?”

“We have an old address.”

“Name?”

“Thomas Rainer.”

Marcus “I remember that woman.”

I took the phone.

“This is Claire Mercer.”

Silence.

“Oh.”

“You remember came into the hallway wearing hotel slippers and a robe.

I held papers in one hand.

I was crying.

Not loudly.

Confused.

I kept saying I needed a phone.

Thomas approached.

Before he could help, David came out of the room.

Then Nathan Bell.

“Was there a doctor?” I asked.

“I saw another exactly what it was.

Click here to continue reading: PART 8: The Missing Sedona Document Reappeared in a Security
